CONVENTION INFORMATION

August 8 thru August 14, 2009, The Marine Corps League will hold their 87th National Convention in Greensboro, North Carolina.   The convention will be at the Koury Convention Center and will host daily events through out the area. The 2010 Convention may prove to be the largest convention in the history of the League.

About the Marine Corps League
The Marine Corps League was founded in 1923 and chartered by an Act of Congress on August 4, 1937. Its membership of nearly 80,000 members is comprised of honorably discharged, active duty, retired and Reserve Marines with 90 days of service or more. It includes officers and enlisted, male and female members. The Marine Corps League remains to this day the only Marine Veteran Group chartered by congress. Today the Marine Corps League has members that have protected our great Nation since World War II giving back to their communities in a variety of  volunteer activities while remaining loyal to the support of those fighting today and their families.

About General John A. Lejeune
The convention this year is a tribute to General John A. Lejeune the founder and first commandant of the League. Since WWI General Lejeune remains an inspiration in the History of the Corps including the naming of the largest Marine Corps Base in the world, our own Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Advertising Options
Advertising options for this years convention include the program book a full featured color magazine including both advertising and some interesting and useful information to it’s readers making certain that the  content draws the reader throughout the publication. Other opportunities will include ad’s on the conventions web site (currently under development) as well as poster trees in the meeting proper to allow you to both advertize your company or organization maybe to include a “thank you for your service” message to the many veterans in the league.

Focus Group Information
There are 70,000 plus members in over 1100 Marine Corps League Detachments.  Nationwide these men and women from all generations serve their community with the same values that made them the prestigious military branch they are today. At the convention leaders from each of these detachments will be focusing on the management of the organization as well as and communities that support them.

Duration of Ad (lifetime)
The Program (printed publication) at this convention will contain valuable information that will be passed through the membership of the Marine Corps League Nationwide.

Proceeds from this magazine will be used to support the services and programs that are performed by the League in Marine Helping Marines programs community development along with support to those serving today and their families.
